The not so simple watch

Issey Miyake, a known fact to all my peers that I love love love him. I gore at his design, put on the perfume, stalk on him. I know this watch of his been out quite awhile now. Well, good design can withhold time. Know what? This is with Naoto Fukasawa (Skin it off)

Case designed after the shape of a hexagon wrench, representing the simple beauty of tools.

Minimalist design in its the ultimate form. Each angle of the dodecagon glass represent the hour.

Concept:

I tried to design a watch which is simple and as strong as possible. I wanted to eliminate all markings, even numbers, from the face.

This inspired me to give the crystal itself twelve sides. With the angles of the case serving as the hour markers, I only had to add the hour and minute hands, both having the same width equal to the diameter of the central post.

The result is a sharp face distinguished by the unique angular shape and wide hands. I feel that this strong clear and simple design is suitable for the brand ISSEY MIYAKE.

The Round Ring

by 22designstudio

Drawn freehand by the designer, the circular frame of this ring acts as the beginning of a dialog between the designer and the person wearing it. The circular design creates ever-lasting space for communication and interaction between creator and receiver, designer and customer.

Brand-new concrete formula through cooperating with Taipei 101 engineering team, through three-month trial and research, our studio used the high-tech concrete, which has been used to construct the highest building in the world. We utilize concrete and transformed it into product design. Most important, we have researched and developed the unique concrete formula in order to be perfectly embedded with fingers.

More smooth with glossy concrete texture
The newly concrete ring is mainly focusing on the improvement of concrete formula. Taipei 101 engineering team and 22designstudio jointly researched and completed this unique formula. The surface of the ring becomes smoother, absolutely illustrating concrete’s high-level and fine texture.

Stronger and Durable
This brand-new formula increases the density of concrete, lessens the external pores, enhances the durability of concrete and decreases the possibilities of chipping and cracking.

When ring go flat

By Amt Studio- Ring A Day

Amt actually stands for Alissia Melka-Teichroew, founder and creative director of AMT Inc.

Different from others, its not those femine approach of what a ring should be, or should have. What i like was, the feeling, of its flexibility and rawness You know what, it comes with 7 ring and a piece of sand paper! A design a day? A ring a day! Whao! Me me about it!

Simply pop a pre-cut ring from a stainless steel, polish rough edges with the included sandpaper, and voilá! The sheet itself makes great wall art once all the rings have been removed, or can be worn as a necklace. Just attach a chain to the piece.

Psss// I promise I'll post more of her work the next time. She got lots more amazing work there. So this is it. I was so blown away that I need time to crawl back.
