JC de Castelbajac Lego Inspired

JCDC has taken Lego to the high fashion catwalk again, however this time his references are as varied as African tribal accessories (complete with Mohawk style helmets), holidaying in the south of France (albeit with a Lego print twist) and iconic 80’s designer, Moschino’s spliced pocket jacket.. ..

This series of work reminds me of the local charity programme the people are dealing with. Its called "We are one"

"The public will play a major part in this initiative – by providing the bricks for the structure. They can purchase the bricks for as little as $2, or build their personal LEGO patch and getting their friends to support their LEGO creations. MediaCorp artistes will also build their personal patches, and fans will be able to lend their support by donating to the creations built by their favourite artistes. Business corporations and other organisations can donate to this worthwhile cause and create their own LEGO buildings for the island structure."
