The danish pavilion by BIG architects at Shanghai expo 2010 allows visitors to
experience some of copenhagen's best attractions through their city bikes, the harbour
bath and a natural playground.
The pavilion aims to relaunch the bike in shanghai as a symbol of a modern lifestyle
and sustainable urban development. At the entrance 1500 city bikes are available to
visitors, in which they are invited to ride throughout the 4 levels of the pavilion
connected by a loop shaped.
At the center of the harbor bath sits the little mermaid, a statue which has become
a symbol for denmark, which has been temporarily moved to china.
Thanks to designboom. This is a great steal!
